Destruction of red blood cells

Etiology-

• Liver flukes
• Protozoan infection
• Bacterial infection
• Elemental poisoning

Symptoms –

• Pale mucus membrane
•  Loss of appetite
• Animal become weaker with time
• Low RBC count in blood

Diagnosis – 

• By signs and symptoms and CBC test

Treatment-

• Found the cause of disease and treat accordingly
•  Give liver extract along with b-complex
• Dextrose and electrolyte infusions
•  Give iron tonics orally or parentally
• Regular mineral mixture should be given to the animals for healthy farming
