Subcutaneous accumulation of gas

Etiology-

• Rumenotomy
• By the use of trochar and cannula
• Lungworms
• Bacterial infection

Symptoms-

• Accumulation of gas under the skin around the soft tissues
• Drum like sound on affected area

Diagnosis –

by signs and symptoms

Treatment –

•  Deworm the animal
• Drain the accumulated gas by incision
• If there is any history of Rumenotomy or use of trochar and cannula then suturing of rumen in needed
• Use broad spectrum antibiotics along with b-complex
